Wales Blog Awards 2012 attracts 300 entries
Welsh blogging fans are being asked to select their top writer in this year’s Wales Blog Awards.
They are being invited to choose from a shortlist in ‘The People’s Choice Award’ section of the annual event.
Voting closes at 5pm on Friday 14th September.
The third Wales Blog Awards will take place on Thursday 20th September at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff with ITV Wales’ Political Editor Adrian Masters as presenter.
A record number of more than 300 blogs were entered for this year’s Wales Blog Awards, which aims to highlight people writing creative and interesting blogs on a range of subjects including food and drink, sport and their local communities.
Cardiff-based Warwick Emanuel PR set up the Wales Blog Awards and organises them every year with the backing of Media Wales. The company sees the event as a way to support and encourage everyone who wants to write and publish online the things about which they feel passionate.
Head of digital media at Warwick Emanuel PR Katie Chappelle said, “There are so many people in Wales who write well and have something interesting to say, often on a niche subject. Last year we saw more than 200 entries from bloggers writing about everything from losing weight, to haiku poetry. These people might not have had a platform before blogging and now it is one of the most important channels for news and information.”
Thank you for all your votes.
